  • Managing and Founding Partner, Veritas School Group

    Dr. Matthew Pyeatt is a Managing and Founding Partner of Veritas School Group, a national consulting firm dedicated to empowering private and parochial schools through strategic curriculum design, professional development, and instructional leadership. With almost 25 years of experience in education, Dr. Pyeatt has trained educators and school leaders across the country, helping institutions implement structured literacy practices, multimodal learning strategies, and operational best practices tailored to independent school settings.

    Before founding Veritas School Group, Dr. Pyeatt served as a curriculum specialist for McGraw-Hill Education, where he led literacy campaigns and supported large-scale implementations across thirteen states. He also held leadership roles as a public school administrator and adjunct college instructor, building a foundation of instructional excellence and strategic planning.

    Dr. Pyeatt holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston State University, and an Ed.D. in Leadership and Administration from Mary Hardin-Baylor University. He is certified in Texas as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. He is also Orton-Gillingham and Dyslexia certified. He and his wife Michelle live in Lake Jackson, Texas, where they are raising their four children. Matthew and his family attend Emmanuel Baptist Church.

    Skyler Sikes is a Managing and Founding Partner of Veritas School Group, where he leads national efforts to support private and parochial schools through leadership development, instructional coaching, and strategic consulting. With a diverse background spanning education and ministry, Skyler has served as a classroom teacher, athletics coach, instructional coach, assistant principal, head of school, student pastor, and lead pastor. His work centers on empowering school staff to step fully into their roles, equipping them with the tools and mindsets needed to lead effectively, and encouraging them through the challenges and triumphs of educational leadership.

    Skyler’s mission is to help redeem the educational space as a transformative pathway for students, educators, and communities. He believes all staff should be EMPOWERED to step into their full potential in their designated roles, be EQUIPPED with the necessary skills and stances to do their jobs and serve their people well, and be ENCOURAGED to navigate through the successes and challenges of leadership and education.Through Veritas School Group, he partners with schools across the country to cultivate environments where formation, excellence, and purpose thrive.

    Skyler holds a B.A. degree in History and Secondary Education from Texas Tech University and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. He is certified in Texas as a teacher and principal and is an ordained pastor. He brings a deep commitment to servant leadership, organizational health, and the holistic development of school communities. Skyler and his wife Kelci live in Lake Jackson, TX where they are raising their three children. Skyler and his family attend Emmanuel Baptist Church.
